Where to start...lots of people tell me that I was the apple of your eye but I'll be honest you were the apple of mine. I have such fond memories of the Saturday mornings we would get the train into town and spend the day at Lewis' then getting our pick and mix at Woolworths. Or the times you took me swimming, or came with us to Blackpool and Butlins. I'm forever grateful that at age 7 you dedicated your time and energy to teach me how to read music and play the flute. This went on to be such a big and important part of my life, and I have you to thank for that. It's also what cemented our close bond. Although, you were my granda, first of all and most importantly you were my pal Willie. COVID might have stolen the last year from us, but I'll always have another 34 to look back on with such fondness and laughter. You will always have a special place in my heart, that truly can't be replaced. Your legacy will live on as I continue to tell stories about you for years to come.
